VanAlert is an app specifically made for VW Vanagon & Bus owners.
Stolen VanagonsThe main purpose of this app is to help recover stolen Vanagons. We have a REPORT STOLEN VAN feature which in case your van is stolen, you fill out the form with your vehicles information and a photo. Once we receive it we put out a PUSH NOTIFICATION to all VanAlert users/Vanagon owners. This helps get the community involved in helping locate your Van, theyll be notified with all of the information you provided.Repair Shop DatabaseWe have a database of reputable repair shops that know how to work on these classic vehicles. Say for instance, if you break down, simply open the VanAlert app and click on the Repair Shops icon. A listing of crowdsourced repair shops that other Vanagon/Bus owners have used and recommend that are in the area will show up based on your current GPS location. All of the contact info is there at your fingertips.Event CalendarA nationwide VW Event Calendar is available thatll list every VW Event within your area so there is no stressing out over missing one. These are also crowd sourced by attendees and event organizers.Native engine updates

New update is very bad No search on driveway host and definitely wrong map view
Tremendous community support
2021 Apr 9 - invalid email address 2017 Nov 5 - still can't view comments, but my wife can on her identical model phone, Moto X Play, both running with Android Nougat. Reinstalling doesn't workv to solve the problem BUT logging out of the VA app and logging in again DOES work to read one or two posts with comments and then it's back to no viewable comments again. I originally did not sign up using the FB method (FB of not installed on my phone and my wife's phone) Hope that helps with debug.

Lots of community information and kind advice
Awesome source of information for vanagon/westy owners. It doesn't refresh automatically but other than that i feel like with time it will hopefully get there
App freezes and won't open about 60% of attempts. Also never gives the most recent content with out refreshing first.
The map view for both Bus Repair and Camping doesn't work on Android.
Very nice to have an app focused on our beloved vehicles.
I love the whole app, from stolen, to finding a mechanic. 💙
